Free SEO Audit

Check one page for the SEO basics and get a score out of 100, with the fixes that matter most. Free, no sign-up.

Checks one page. robots.txt is respected. Up to 10 audits per hour.

A quick health check for one page

Most ranking problems on small sites come from a handful of basics: a page Google can't index, a missing title, a thin page, no mobile viewport. This audit checks those basics in seconds and puts the fixes in order, so you know what to do first or what to ask your agency about.

For a deeper look at indexing, try the Google Index Checker. To check a page's link strength, use the Page Authority Checker.

For agencies: a white-label version

Listed agencies can run this audit from their FindSEO dashboard and print it with their own logo and colour. Sign in or claim your listing.

Frequently asked questions

What does the free SEO audit check?

Over 20 things a search engine looks at on one page: whether it loads and can be indexed, redirects, robots.txt, noindex and canonical tags, the sitemap, the title and meta description, headings, the amount of text, image alt text, internal links, HTTPS, the mobile viewport, the language, response time, HTML size, Open Graph tags and structured data.

How is the score worked out?

Each check has a weight based on how much it can hold a page back. A pass earns the full weight, a warning half, and a problem nothing. The score is the share of points earned, out of 100. It's a quick guide to priorities, not a ranking prediction.

Does it crawl my whole site?

No. It checks the one page you enter, plus the site's robots.txt and sitemap. For a full-site crawl, use a desktop crawler or ask an agency for a technical audit.

Why does it say robots.txt blocked the check?

We respect robots.txt. If a site's robots.txt asks automated tools not to fetch a page (for example with a Disallow rule for all user agents), we don't fetch it. The same applies if the site shows a bot check or captcha: we don't try to get around it.

Does it run JavaScript?

No. It reads the HTML the server sends, which is what search engines see on their first pass. Content, links or structured data added later by JavaScript aren't counted, so a JavaScript-heavy page may score lower here than it deserves.

Can agencies use this with their own branding?

Yes. Agencies listed on FindSEO can run the same audit from their dashboard and print it as a PDF with their own name, logo and colour, free.

The audit fetches only the page you enter, plus that site's robots.txt and sitemap, identifying itself as FindSEO-Tools. It never fetches a page robots.txt disallows and never tries to get past a captcha or bot check.
