About FindSEO
Last updated 18 October 2026
FindSEO is a directory of SEO agencies, and only SEO agencies. We built it because comparing agencies is hard: most directories mix in generalists, and it's rarely clear which reviews are real or which placements are paid.

Where listings come from
Unclaimed listings are built from information agencies publish themselves, such as their website, contact page and Google Business Profile. Each profile shows where its facts came from and when we last checked them. Agencies can claim their listing for free to correct or add details. If something's wrong, tell us.
Country, region, town and suburb names, alternate spellings, coordinates, populations and postcodes come from GeoNames (its places and postal code data), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. We include every town and suburb GeoNames lists with about 1,000 or more people. A town only gets its own page once agencies are listed there.
How we verify reviews
Every FindSEO review goes through the same checks, whether the reviewer found us on their own or through an agency's review link:
- Email verification. The reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link before anything else happens. Unverified reviews are never published.
- Client details. Reviewers tell us the business they worked with the agency for and the month of the project, and can add a work email or website. We use these only to check the review; they're never shown.
- One review per email. Each verified email can have one live or pending review of an agency. If a review is rejected, the reviewer can submit a new one.
- Conflict checks. Reviews from the agency's own email domain, or from the same internet connection an agency user has signed in from recently, are flagged for extra checks.
- Human moderation. A person on the FindSEO team checks every review before it's published, and may ask for proof that the reviewer was a client. Agencies can't see a review before it's published.
- No incentives, no gating. Agencies can share their review link with clients, but they must send it to all of them, not only happy ones, and can't offer anything in return. There's no “rate us first” step: everyone gets the same review form.
Review guidelines
- Only clients who worked with an agency can review it. Employees, relatives, competitors and anyone offered something in return can't.
- Every review is confirmed by email and checked by a person before it's published. We may ask for proof that you were a client.
- We publish negative reviews that follow these guidelines. Agencies can't pay to remove, edit or hide a review.
- We remove reviews that are fake, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, about a different business, or that include private information.
- FindSEO ratings come only from approved FindSEO reviews. Google ratings are shown live from Google with attribution and are never stored or mixed into our scores.
How we verify agencies
The green Verified badge means someone at the agency proved they work there when they claimed the listing:
- Domain email code. We send a one-time code to an email address on the same domain as the agency's website (for example you@youragency.com). Entering the code shows the person can receive email at that domain. Personal addresses such as Gmail or Outlook can't be used.
- Manual check. If someone can't use an email on the agency's domain, a person on the FindSEO team verifies them another way, for example a DNS record or a call to the number on the agency's website.
Verified confirms who manages the listing. It isn't a rating, a quality check or an endorsement of the agency's work, and it isn't part of Featured: it can't be bought. Reviews are checked separately, as described above.
How results are ordered
On browse and search pages, Featured agencies (a paid placement) appear first and are always labelled “Featured” or “Paid placement”. After that, agencies are ordered by their verified FindSEO rating, weighted by the number of verified reviews: each agency's average is blended with a neutral starting point of five 4-star reviews, so one 5-star review doesn't outrank fifty reviews averaging 4.9. Ties go to the agency with more reviews, then to Verified agencies, then A–Z. Agencies without reviews are shown after reviewed agencies. Google ratings are never counted. You can always change the sort order.
Paying never changes an agency's rating, reviews or awards. Awards follow the published criteria.
How FindSEO makes money
Claimed listings are free. Agencies can pay $29 USD/month for your first 3 months, then $69 USD/month (including GST/VAT/sales tax where applicable) to be Featured. Featured agencies get labelled placement and are the only agencies we introduce to buyers through Get matched, so they pay for those introductions.
